Bringing in an Honor Code?

At February 26’s open Student Government Association meeting, Patricia Rissmeyer, Vice President of Student Affairs, told the SGA that the administration is considering implementing an honor code and they would like student input.

If and when an honor code is approved, it would require students to sign a copy of it before taking tests.

According to Rissmeyer, the school’s Vice President of Academic Affairs, Joyce De Leo, introduced the topic. First discussing the idea with members of the administration, De Leo would like to hear students weigh in. Joe Onofrietti, Dean of Students, went ahead and came up with ten students, all juniors and seniors, whom he thinks would good candidates.

None of those suggested were SGA members, though they are intending to nominate a representative.

Those students have already been contacted, but meetings have not started.
