Emmanuel’s men’s track and field team kicked off their outdoor track season with a bang this past Saturday at Mount Holyoke’s Spring Fling Invitational.
Junior Nathan Bruno led the field for Emmanuel qualifying for the Eastern Conference, as well as taking the win in the 400 meter hurdles with his time of 53.78 seconds. Sophomore Ryan Thomas finished behind Bruno with his time of 56.25, a new personal best for him.
Junior Chris Baker ran his personal best time in the 1500 meter run with his time of 4:19.02. Freshmen Thomas Tallo and Zachary Bohn also ran personally bests in the events with their times or 4:24.77 and 4:31.87, respectively.
The men’s 4×400 meter relay also had an outstanding performance during the meet. The team consisting of junior Ben Perdue, as well as Thomas, Baker, and Tallo finished with a first place time of 3:32.46.
The Saints will be back in action on Saturday April 6th for the Fitchburg State University Sheehan Memorial Invitational.
