Disney Announces “Finding Nemo” Sequel

Sequels have been a common feature among Disney’s Pixar movies and now Finding Nemo is joining the club. Pixar announced recently that Finding Dory will join the Pixar family in November 2015.

Finding Nemo, which premiered in May 2003, was one of Pixar’s most successful films. The film grossed a staggering $921 million, making it the second-highest grossing film of that year. It was won several awards, including the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature.

Finding Dory is set about a year after the first movie as Dory, the lovably forgetful fish voiced by Ellen DeGeneres, is setting out to find her family along with old and new characters.

Finding Dory’s announcement has been exciting for numerous fans since they have waited years to see their favorite aquatic characters return to theaters. If Finding Dory is anything like its predecessors, it will likely make a great addition to Pixar films.
