Boston seems to be the new “it” place for reality TV.
As I was flicking through the channels one night I saw a preview for a new VH1 show Wicked Single. The show follows the exciting lives of six Bostonians as they drink at the grandest bars in the South End.
Now I know VH1 isn’t known for their quality and wholesome shows, but is this is the best they could come up with?
I couldn’t bear to watch a full episode; the trailer was more than enough. I doubt it will do any better than it’s A&E predecessor Southie Rules, which barely made it to four episodes.
Along with Wicked Single, there is Boston native Donnie Wahlberg’s show Boston’s Finest. This reality show takes a more serious storyline and follows a variety of Boston cops as they make their rounds. While this show seems to be of better quality it is obviously staged just like every other “reality” show out there.
