Michael Morris ’14 is another person on our list of seniors you should meet before they graduate. In his four years here at EC, he has contributed a lot of his time to campus athletics and other activities.  Find out more about the Midnight Madness MC below.

Hometown: Stoughton, MA

Age: 21

Major: Elementary Education

  • Cross Country member all four years at EC
  • Cross Country team captain
  • Member of the 1804 Society
  • Winter and Spring track team member
  • Alternative Spring Break New Orleans student trip leader for the last three years
  • Worked for the Center for Mission Engagement since his junior year
  • Vice President of CARE Club
  • Exec. board member of SAAC

When asked what his favorite activity he’s participated in at EC he laughed saying, “I don’t want to get in any trouble from my answer, but I think it would be cross country. It was the first thing I did here as a freshman and that’s where I met most of my friends…Coming into college I didn’t want to be super involved but I ended up being involved with a little bit of everything.”

When asked about his plans for after college, Morris says he would like move to New Orleans to teach for two years, or teach English abroad.

His favorite part of his time at Emmanuel has been the people. “I’ve visited other colleges and it’s definitely a different atmosphere. Typically everyone here is nice and I think it’s due to our small size that we’re able to easily meet new people.”
