As if Boston Calling couldn’t get any more “hey-look-I-was-super-hip-10-years-ago,” The Decemberists are now a part of the lineup! Their energetic brand of folk-rock is a perfect fit for the local weekend festival. They’ll be playing Saturday, May 24th sandwiched between The Head and the Heart and headliners Death Cab for Cutie.

The band is emerging from a three year hiatus—they haven’t played a concert since 2011. But fair warning: if you think you can catch them at a different time, you might be out of luck. Boston Calling is the only summer festival they’ll be playing this year.

The announcement was released alongside the release of single-day tickets. So if you only want to attend one of the three days, (Really? Just one?) now is your chance. With the addition of the Decemberists, Saturday is going to be the highlight of the 3-day event.
