LIVE: Emmanuel College vs Winter Storm Juno

2 p.m. – 1/26/15:

As a possibly “historic” snowstorm approaches this afternoon, Emmanuel cancelled all classes beginning at or after 2:50 pm. All administrative offices will close at 3 p.m.. Classes tomorrow are also cancelled.

According to the Portal, the following bans and schedule changes will be in effect:

The main dining hall in the Jean Yawkey Center will be open regular hours on Monday, January 26th and Tuesday, January 27th. The Atrium Café will be open today, January 26th until 10:00 p.m. and closed tomorrow, January 27th. The Muddy River Café will be closed beginning at 3:00 p.m. today, January 26th and will be closed tomorrow, January 27th.

There will be a ban on all surface parking beginning Monday, January 26th through at least Tuesday, January 27th. All cars should be moved into on campus garages.

Shuttle Service
Campus Safety will run the shuttle today, January 26th on a regular schedule until 8:00 p.m. Service will be on an emergency basis on Tuesday, January 27th.

A number of student organizations have begun to call off meetings.

UPDATED 9:08 p.m. 1/26/15:

The Emmanuel College Library announced this evening that it will be closing at 10 p.m. tonight and be staying closed through tomorrow.

UPDATED: 3 p.m. 1/27/15:

UPDATED: 2:50 p.m. 1/28/15:

By early afternoon, administration decided to close the school for the entirety of the day.

One club, however, decided to keep programming despite the closure.
