Emmanuel’s 2015 acceptance rate is now in. According to Emmanuel’s dean of admissions, Sandy Robbins, this year’s Fall acceptance rate for incoming freshman was 68.47 percent, just a small decrease from last year’s rate of 68.50 percent.
Emmanuel is the second most selective school of the Colleges of the Fenway with Simmons being the most selective with an acceptance rate of 52 percent. As for the selectivity of the rest of the colleges, MassArt follows Emmanuel with an acceptance rate of 73 percent followed by MCPHS and Wentworth both at 84 percent. Wheelock admits the most students at an acceptance rate of 88 percent.
Almost 6,000 students apply to Emmanuel every year and about 4,088 are accepted to attend the school. Emmanuel admissions continues to place emphasis on GPA, recommendations, rigor of high school classes, and the application essay over SAT scores, which are optional in Emmanuel’s application process.
