When the dance is over and one team must stand tall atop the NCAA ranks, I believe the Spartans of Michigan State University will be the ones standing. They will takedown the Jayhawks in a rematch of the regular season, where the Spartans won 79-73. Although, let’s see how, I think, this year’s dance will play out!

South: Round of 64

Kansas (1) vs. Austin Peay (16): Winner – Kansas (1)

Colorado (8) vs. UConn (9): Winner – UConn (9)

Maryland (5) vs. South Dakota State (12): Winner – Maryland (5)

Cal (4) vs. Hawaii (13): Winner – Cal (4)

Arizona (6) vs. Wichita State (11): Winner – Wichita State (11)

Oh yes! It’s time again for Wichita State to start turning some heads in the dance. The Shocker have seniors Fred VanVleet (12.0 PPG, 5.7 APG) and Ron Baker (14.2 PPG) leading this team and no one will want to face them in their last dance.

University of Miami (3) vs. Buffalo (14): Winner – Miami (3)

Iowa (7) vs. Temple (10): Winner – Temple (10)

Villanova (2) vs. UNC Asheville (15): Winner – Villanova (2)

South: Round of 32

Kansas (1) vs. UConn (9): Winner – Kansas (1)

For those who pick UConn, I don’t think UConn will be able to pull my magic out of their hats this year and defeat a post-scoring KU team. Kansas has the best rebounding team in the nation and will force UConn to shoot the ball effectively from behind the arc.

Maryland (5) vs. Cal (4): Winner – Maryland (5)

I picked this by the numbers cause it was too close to call. Maryland holds their opponents to 66 points per game and averages 76 points, where Cal averages 75 points a game and holds their opponents to 65 points a game. This will be a nail-biter, if it happens.

Wichita State (11) vs. University of Miami (3): Winner – Wichita State (11)

Temple (10) vs. Villanova (2): Winner – Villanova (2)

South: Sweet Sixteen

Kansas (1) vs. Maryland (5): Winner – Kansas (1)

Villanova (2) vs. Wichita State (11): Winner – Wichita State (11)

South: Elite Eight

Kansas (1) vs. Wichita State (11): Winner – Kansas (1)

Here is where Wichita State’s Cinderella story is going to end. As many will be rooting for them to beat the number one seed, Kansas will ultimately be too much for them to handle.

East: Round of 64

UNC (1) vs. Florida Gulf Coast (16): Winner – UNC (1)

USC (8) vs. Providence (9): Winner – Providence (9)

Indiana (5) vs. Chattanooga (12): Winner – Indiana (5)

Kentucky (4) vs. Stony Brook (13): Winner – Kentucky (4)

Notre Dame (6) vs. Michigan/Tulsa(11): Winner – Notre Dame (6)

WVU (3) vs. Stephen F. Austin (14): Winner – SF Austin (14)

UPSET ALERT! After losing last year to Utah, I think the Lumberjacks will beat West Virginia once again. If you don’t remember in 2014, SF Austin beat WVU in overtime to reach the Round of 32. I think they still have the Mountaineers number.

Wisconsin (7) vs. Pitt (10): Winner  – Pitt (10)

Xavier (2) vs. Weber State (15): Winner – Xavier (2)

East: Round of 32

UNC (1) vs. Providence (9): Winner – UNC (1)

Indiana (5) vs. Kentucky (4): Winner – Indiana (5)

It’s time for the dominance of Kentucky in the dance to end this year. Indiana just has a better offense, shooting 41% from behind the arc.

Notre Dame (6) vs. SF Austin (14): Winner – Notre Dame (6)

Xavier (2) vs. Pitt (10): Winner – Xavier (2)

East: Sweet Sixteen

UNC (1) vs. Indiana (5): Winner – UNC (1)

Notre Dame (6) vs Xavier (2): Winner – Xavier (2)

East: Elite Eight

UNC (1) vs. Xavier (2): Winner UNC (1)

West: Round of 32

Oregon (1) vs. Holy Cross (16): Winner – Oregon (1)

Saint Joes (8) vs. Cincinnati (9): Winner – Cincinnati (9)

Baylor (5) vs. Yale (12): Winner – Yale (12)

Baylor is one of the worst teams in the modern era during March Madness and this year won’t be any different. Like last years when Georgia State’s R. J. Hunter made the game winning 3-pointer, Yale will find a way to win this game.

Duke (4) vs. UNC Wilmington (13): Winner – Duke (4)

Texas (6) vs. Northern Iowa (11): Winner – Texas (6)

Texas A&M (3) vs. Green Bay (14): Winner – Texas A&M (3)

Oregon State (7) vs. VCU (10): Winner – VCU (10)

Oklahoma (2) vs. CSU Bakersfield (15): Winner – Oklahoma (2)

West: Round of 32

Oregon (1) vs. Cincinnati (9): Winner Cincinnati (9)

I think Oregon is the weakest one seed in the Tournament and after the quadruple overtime game versus UConn last week, the Bearcats are ready to show they have what it takes to beat some of the elite teams.

Yale (12) vs. Duke (4): Winner – Duke (4)

Texas (6) vs. Texas A&M (3): Winner – Texas A&M (3)

VCU(10) vs. Oklahoma (2): Winner – Oklahoma (2)

West: Sweet Sixteen

Cincinnati (9) vs. Duke (4): Winner – Cincinnati (9)

UPSET ALERT!

Texas A&M (3) vs. Oklahoma (2): Winner – Oklahoma (2)

West: Elite Eight

Oklahoma (2) vs. Cincinnati (9): Winner – Oklahoma (2)

Midwest: Round of 64

UVA (1) vs. Hampton (16): Winner – UVA (1)

TTU (8) vs. Butler (9): Winner – Butler (9)

Purdue (5) vs. UALR (12): Winner – Purdue (5)

Iowa State (4) vs. Iona (13): Winner – Iowa State (4)

Seton Hall (6) vs. Gonzaga (11): Winner – Gonzaga (11)

UPSET ALERT! I feel that Gonzaga has more tournament experience and more developed players then Seton Hall.

Utah (3) vs. Fresno State (14): Winner – Fresno State (14)

Dayton (7) vs. Syracuse (10): Winner – Syracuse (10)

Michigan State (2) vs. Mid Tennessee (15): Winner – Michigan State (2)

Midwest: Round of 32

UVA (1) vs. Butler (9): Winner – UVA (1)

Purdue (5) vs. Iowa State (4): Winner – Purdue (5)

Gonzaga (11) vs. Fresno State (13): Winner – Gonzaga (11)

Syracuse (10) vs. Michigan State (2): Winner – Michigan State (2)

Midwest: Sweet Sixteen

UVA (1) vs. Purdue (5): Winner – UVA (1)

Michigan State (2) vs. Gonzaga (11): Winner – Michigan State (2)

Midwest: Elite Eight

UVA (1) vs. Michigan State (2): Winner – Michigan State (2)

Final Four

UNC (1) vs. Michigan State (2): Winner – Michigan State (2)

Kansas (1) vs. Oklahoma (2): Winner – Kansas (1)

Championship Game

Kansas (1) vs. Michigan State (2): Winner – Michigan State (2)

Score: 72-68

When the dance is done this year Mr. March, MSU Coach Tom Izzo, will get his second ring and Denzel Valentine will hoist the most prestigious trophy in the NCAA.
