As we move towards finals and graduation, I want to take a moment to reflect on this past year.
We at The Hub saw a complete change in leadership with an entirely new executive board. This was my first year as Editor in Chief and I just want to say thank you to everyone for supporting me through it. We’ve had some ups and downs this year but we, like the seniors about to graduate, made it through.
Thank you to the staff for not kicking me out like Paris Geller in Gilmore Girls.
I want to thank you all for reading and engaging with The Hub. We would not be here without you.We passed 200,000 views this year because of you. Through the crazy uncertainty surrounding Julie Hall to the filming of “Patriots Day,” we have always strived to make the student voice heard.
I encourage you all to consider submitting your opinion pieces whenever you feel strongly about an issue. We are always taking student submissions. You can send them to an editor or to our email account: firstname.lastname@example.org. Remember that we cannot exist without you, our readers and contributors. We strive to be the student voice and, without you, we’re just a group of people sitting in a room trying to decide what’s important to people. You tell us what’s important to you and that makes us a better publication.
I want to thank our senior staff writers and editors for all the work you have put into The Hub during your time here. You have been an essential part of helping this publication to grow. Brian, Paul, Seth, Kyla, and Curtis, we’re going to miss you.
To all the students of Emmanuel, thank you for all the work that you do every day to make this college a better place. You have inspired so many of us by being strong, inspirational role models.
To our new editors, I want to welcome you to the Executive Board. I look forward to working closely with you to make The Hub even better next year.
