The men’s sports team had a off week this week, while the women at Emmanuel continued to dominate in the GNAC in their respective sports.
Women’s Soccer: 5-7-1
The women won a hard fought battle against Albertus Magnus College this Saturday, which was led by Maggie Carey ’17 and Kayla Generis ’20. Victoria Laroche ’19 continued her dominance in the goal by saving seven goals this game. She remained on her hot streak leading her team to her fourth shutout in six games.

Women’s Volleyball: 7-12
The women’s volleyball team continued to dominate in the GNAC going 4-0 with their latest win over the Norwich College Cadets. They played great team ball, dominating the net and the floor, not allowing the Cadets to score a set on them. Mary Shelow ’19 led the team in kills with 16 and in blocks with four. Shelow seems to be the piece this team was missing in the beginning of the season. They are 6-2 since her return to the court and the Saint’s are really seeing what a difference she makes.

Men’s Soccer: 3-6-2
The Emmanuel College golf team shot 350 at Tekoa Country Club on Tuesday, September 24. The Saints placed in 11th out of 14 teams at the Westfield State Invitational. Even though this wasn’t their best match, Anthony Springthorpe ’18 shot a team-low 84 coming in 24th out of 70 participants. Their next match is on Tuesday, October 4 for their second home match of the season at the William J. Devine Golf Course at Franklin Park.
