It was a tough week for the Emmanuel Saints this week. Including some heart breaking playoff loses. The Cross Country team had a rather expressive performance in their GNAC Championship run.
EC Cross Country:
The men roared into second place, while the woman excelled into third at the GNAC Championship this weekend. Nicole Varca ’18 was the leader for the women, running a 20:21 and finishing in ninth overall. While for the men, Erik Brobst ’20 ran a 27:16 and finished in sixth overall, with Ian Chamenko ’17 coming in no far behind at 27:46 and in ninth place overall. Cross Country will continue to run all the way to the NCAA D-III Regionals November 12.

Women’s Soccer: 1-0 lose to Alberus Magnas in GNAC Quarterfinals (10/30/16)
It was close battle against the Albertus Magnas Flacons on Sunday for the EC women. They played a solid 90 minute battle, but ultimately couldn’t put find any offensive fire power to bring down the Falcons. The future is very bright with these women for they embodied a never-give-up attitude that was proven throughout their season.
Men’s Soccer: 3-0 loss to Johnson and Wales (JWU) in GNAC Quarterfinals (10/29/16)
After a solid season, the men fell short of a GNAC championship this year. They will look to use this as a learning experience for this extremely young team who excited every expectation.
Women’s Volleyball: 11-21
The woman’s volleyball continued to struggle to finish their season. They will look to next season as a fresh start.
