SGA Wrap Up: November 15, 2016

The Student Government Association (SGA) meeting held on November 15 was a short meeting that included information on clubs and class updates.

The club featured for this week’s Club Spotlight was Emmanuel College’s Sailing Team. The team practices at Community Boating on Mondays and Fridays. They have participated in six regattas this year, and recently held a Halloween fundraiser where they raised $239.

The sailing team nominated Emmanuel College’s Harry Potter Club for next weeks’s Club Spotlight.

The Student Government also had a discussion on whether or not The 1804 Society can be featured for a club spotlight. 1804 is not an SGA affiliated club, but is still an on campus organization.

They decided to invite the society to come talk about their organization next week in replacement of a guest speaker.

Next, Mary-Kate Roffey ’17 discussed the potential for a full senate GroupMe.

Sabrina Tessitore ’20 is a Staff Writer for The Hub. She can be contacted at tessitores@emmanuel.edu and on Twitter @Sabrina_Tess.

Thanks for another great SGA wrap up from the Hub! I’m actually class of 2017, but I definitely don’t mind the fact that you’re trying to keep me here for an extra year 🙂
