SGA Wrap Up: December 13, 2016

The Student Government Association (SGA) meeting held on December 13 included information on their Constitution and updates regarding Emmanuel College.

The meeting began with Budget Requests. Emmanuel College’s Youth In Government was there to request $10, 716 for their YMCA conference in Washington, D.C.

18 students will be attending the conference this year in order to incorporate a more diverse range of majors to advertise for the club.

The Youth in Government’s request was approved in full.

Next up was the Student Government’s Constitution changes.

The amendment to have both positions work together was approved by a show of hands.

The meeting continued with Executive Updates.

Following Executive Updates were Class Updates.

The last meeting of the semester ended with Announcements.

In an email, Rissmeyer later announced that the Administration Building, Muddy River, and Wilkens Science Center will remain open 24/7 during finals. The shuttle hours will also be extended during finals to accommodate these new hours.

In the email, Rissmeyer also mentioned the addition of power strips to the library for students to recharge their laptops.
