“Tight Knit” was created as a community outreach club with a mission that hones in on the ability of our campus knitters and crafters. The adviser of their club is Diane Shea, Associate Dean and Professor of Nursing Practice at Emmanuel College.

The Executive Board is comprised of President Rachel Nazzaro ’19, Vice President Mary Nahorniak ’19, Secretary Hannah Lynam ’19, Treasurer Lorrayne Britto Assis ’19, and Public Relations Melanie Albright ’19.

The club plans on knitting hats, scarves, and blankets. Each general member must attend two meetings a month and create one project a semester.

Proposed events include movie nights, “guest knitters,” and Donation Day. At the end of each semester, the club will take a trip and drop off their hand-made creations to their designated donation sites. The sites include St. Francis House and Boston Children’s Hospital.

“Tight Knit” does not have any social media yet, however, they plan to create an Instagram to post pictures of their creations.
