SGA Wrap Up: April 4, 2017

The Student Government Association (SGA) meeting held on April 4 focused heavily on a presentation given on a possible new device called “Presence” that would benefit clubs and events on campus.

The meeting began with Dr. Patricia Rissmeyer, Vice President for Student Affairs, giving updates on this weekend’s EC Incoming.

Next, Kelli Connors, Assistant Director of Student Involvement and Leadership Development, presented for the proposed device “Presence” along with Andy Gould, the Sales Representative for “Check I’m Here” over the phone.

After the presentation, the SGA had a chance to ask both Connors and Gould questions about “Presence.”

Kelli Connors had also gotten back to us regarding whether or not EC Learn would be replaced altogether.

“This would just replace the club piece of EC Learn, not the entire system. It would still be used for academics,” said Connors over email.

There were no Major Event Requests and the meeting jumped right into a presentation given by Dan Darcy, Associate Dean of Students/Director of Students Activities, on the Student Government’s self evaluations.
