Acapocalypse Hosts Annual Spring Showcase

Emmanuel’s Acapocalypse c0-sponsored their spring showcase with EC Biology Club on Friday, April 21, in the Emmanuel College Auditorium.

Berklee College of Music’s Upper Structure and Northeastern University’s The Unisons joined Acapocalypse.  All three groups preformed a mix of classic and popular songs to an enthusiastic audience.

“I was really happy to watch the show,” spectator Emily O’Brien ’18 said after the show.  “I was unaware beforehand the money went to a charity but after learning that it made it an even more special night.”

With an admissions charge at the door and shirts avaliable for purchase, the clubs were able to raise money for The Conservation Fund. The organization is a non-profit dedicated to creating environmental and economic solutions to promote a prosperous future.

“Science is being threatened in the current political times so it seemed appropriate to support a cause like this,” said Acapocalypse music director Caroline Lussier ’17.  “I’m also a bio major so this cause is really near and dear to my heart.”

Members of Acapocalypse honored their seniors by reading letters and tributes during the show. These letters celebrated the seniors’ time spent in Acapocalypse over the years.
