All Aboard: Emmanuel Holds Polar Express Themed Moonlight Breakfast

The Emmanuel College Programming Team (ECPT) hosted the annual Moonlight Breakfast event on Dec. 12 in the college’s Dinning Hall. The event falls on the last day of classes for the fall semester.

The theme for this year’s event was based on the book and movie adaptation of  The Polar Express.

“I thought that with this theme there was the Christmas and winter aspect which opens the event up to so many options, like the hot chocolate bar,” said ECPT board member Tom Lapointe ’20. “Overall it was what people voted for.”

Snowflakes and balloons served as decorations throughout the Dining Hall.  Also available to students were a candy station and a hot chocolate bar, each coinciding with the theme.

ECPT encouraged students to wear their pajamas to the event.

Standard to Moonlight Breakfast, different Emmanuel College faculty members served students a breakfast of eggs, bacon, sausage, french toast, and tater tots. Various pastries and breads were also on the menu.

During the night, Polar Express trivia was held, the winners of which received Moonlight Breakfast t-shirts.

A new addition to the event this year was a performance by For Good Measure, an acapella group on campus.
