SGA Wrap Up: February 6, 2018

The Student Government Association (SGA) held their weekly meeting Tuesday, February 6. The meeting included some advisor updates, multiple financial requests from different clubs, and a Club Spotlight from Emmanuel’s Tight Knit knitting club.

The advisor updates from Dr. Rissmeyer and Dan Darcy included some important upcoming events.

Next, EC Tight Knit presented their club for the Club Spotlight. Their club educates students on how to knit scarves, hats, and more.

After Club Spotlight, E-board members spoke from Asian Student Association (ASA), Emmanuel College Emergency Medical Services (ECEMS), EC Habitat for Humanity, EC Her Campus, and Emmanuel’s Black Student Union (BSU).

After the SGA completed its finance reports, a vote was held to elect a senior SGA member to the Election Chair. Eric Cote ’18 was voted to Election Chair by a unanimous vote.

Some final thoughts included a recognition of the Class of 2019’s efforts in coordinating the senior’s 100 Days Celebration and this week’s Can-Do Award Recipient. The celebration was in recognition of the Class of 2018’s final 100 days of classes at Emmanuel College.

Devin Nelson ’19 is the Managing Editor for The Hub. He can be contacted by email at nelsond@emmanuel.edu or on Twitter @nellydevin.
