As a result of Russia’s declaration of war on Ukraine, the country has recently gained international attention. One of the most pressing questions in this regard is concerning Ukraine’s president, who is in charge of the country’s defense. Former actor and comedian, he is an experienced politician. Volodymyr Zelenskyy is worth $1.5 million as of 2022.
Background
To a Jewish household, Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy was born in 1978. Kryvyi Rih, a Russian-speaking area in southeast Ukraine, is where he grew up.

When he was sixteen, he passed the Test of English as a Foreign Language and was given the scholarship to study in Israel for a year. However, his father was adamant about keeping him. Later on, he pursued a legal education at the same university where his father is on staff.
A career in entertainment
In high school, Volodymyr decided to join the local KVN comedy competition group. Almost immediately, he was chosen to play for the Zaporizhia-Kryvyi Rih-Transit team, a joint Ukrainian club. In 1997, they competed in the KVN Major League and won the title of league champions there.
He formed and headed the Kvartal 95 team in the same year. As of 2003, TV shows produced by Kvartal 95 have been broadcast on the Ukrainian TV station 1+1. Inter, a Ukrainian television station, took them on as a new home in 2005.

Career in Politics
Servant of the People was created in March 2018 by Kvartal 95 members. Zelinsky launched a successful presidential campaign in his country towards the end of last year.
Six months before announcing his candidacy, Volodymyr was already one of the leading competitors in opinion polls. On March 1st of this year, Zelenskyy swept both rounds of voting, comfortably defeating his opponent in the first round and in the second round.
He defeated Petro Poroshenko by nearly 73 percent of the votes on April 21, 2019, to become Ukraine’s new president.
Anti-Russian measures
Preparations to defend the country began even before Russia launched an attack in early 2022. During a meeting with US President Joe Biden in April 2021, he requested that NATO expedite Ukraine’s membership application in response to Russia’s military buildup along its borders.
It was during an early morning address to his countrymen that Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy declared his country ready to defend itself. At the stroke of midnight on February 24, 2022, he issued a 30-day state of national emergency.
It’s all about you!

It is only fitting that they should reside in the Mariinsky Palace while serving as president of their country. Volodymyr, despite this, is said to own at least five properties. He also owns a Tesla, an Audi, a Mercedes-Benz, a BMW, and a Jaguar, among other premium vehicles.
Volodymyr Zelensky’s personal life is examined
That being said, Volodymyr Zelensky has married a Ukrainian architect and screenwriter with whom he was close friends while attending the same university. Olena Volodymyrivna Zelenska is the current Ukrainian First Lady. Oleksandra was born to the couple in July 2004. Kyrylo was born in January of 2013 as well. In addition to Russian, Ukrainian, and English, Zelenskyy can speak these languages fluently!

A popular improvisational comedy competition is known as KVN (Klub Vesyólykh I Nakhódchivykh; “Club of the Funny and Inventive People”) was broadcast throughout the Commonwealth of Independent States in 1997, where Zelensky’s Kvartal 95 (“Quarter 95,” the Kryvyy Rih neighborhood where Zelensky spent his childhood) appeared in the televised finals. As KVN became a regular fixture, Kvartal 95 and Zelensky became regulars. One of Ukraine’s most prolific entertainment studios was formed by Zelensky in 1995 when he co-founded Studio Kvartal 95. Studio Kvartal 95 had Zelensky as its first artistic director until 2011 when he was promoted to the position of general producer of Ukrainian television network Inter TV.
In October of that year, Zelensky and Kvartal 95 signed a joint production arrangement with Ukrainian network 1+1 after leaving Inter TV. Ukrainian billionaire Ihor Kolomoisky owns that network and Zelensky’s ties to Kolomoisky would be scrutinized when Zelensky announced he was entering politics. Ascendance to the office of President and service to the community
Despite returning to Kvartal 95 as artistic director in 2013, Zelensky’s entertainment career and Ukraine’s political turmoil would eventually collide. After months of popular protests, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych’s government was deposed in February 2014, and billionaire Petro Poroshenko was elected president of Ukraine in May of the same year. Prosecutor-general Petro Poroshenko was constrained by an insurgency in eastern Ukraine sponsored by Russia and widespread corruption that undermined public trust in the administration. Servant of the People premiered on 1+1 in October of that year. As Vasiliy Goloborodko, a typical history teacher who becomes viral after a student videos him giving a passionate speech against official corruption, Zelensky was cast. For Zelensky, the program was a huge success, and Goloborodko’s unusual rise to the presidency of Ukraine would serve as a guide. Kvartal 95 officially registered Servant of the People as a political party in Ukraine in 2018 in anticipation of this move.
