Hansjorg Wyss is among a number of potential buyers who have been approached by the Russian billionaire, although he still has a sizable fortune.
According to reports, Roman Abramovich is worth $12.6 billion (£9.4 billion) and has offered to sell the reigning European champions to interested parties.
The Russian oligarch revealed his plans last week in a brief statement and has already withdrawn from day-to-day activities at Stamford Bridge.
In an interview with Blick, Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss revealed that the billionaire was providing possible purchasers the possibility to close a deal by the end of the week.
“[Abramovich] wants to get rid of Chelsea as swiftly as possible,” he stated. On Tuesday, I and three other people got an offer from Abramovich to acquire Chelsea.
“I’m looking at a four- to the five-day wait time.” Abramovich is asking too much at the moment. If you don’t know, Chelsea owes him $2 billion [it is £1.5 billion]. That’s a problem for Chelsea since she has no money. As a result, anyone who buys Chelsea must pay Abramovich monetary compensation.
“As of today, we have no idea what the final selling price will be. Starting at Chelsea with a partner is something I can definitely see happening. But first, I need to look at the overall situation. However, I can already state that I am not undertaking this endeavor alone. Six to seven investors would be required if I bought Chelsea. “

However, Abramovich is unlikely to acquire the £3 billion he seeks for Chelsea.
The billionaire has entrusted the sale of the west London side to the Raine Group, an American bank.
As part of a consortium that includes LA Dodgers co-owner Todd Boehly, Swiss billionaire Hansjorg Wyss has been approached and is considering making an offer, he says.
Hansjorg Wyss (R), a billionaire from Switzerland, says he is open to forming a consortium to acquire the club.
Even though Abramovich has been accused of having links to the Russian dictatorship that has wreaked such havoc in Ukraine, interested parties may be reluctant to do business with Chelsea.
Competitors worry about dealing with Chelsea in the summer transfer window, and they may even put pressure on Chelsea to back down in discussions.
Prospective Chelsea signings are now wary of joining the club because of Roman Abramovich’s ties to Vladimir Putin’s Russian dictatorship, according to Sportsmail, especially if the businessman continues in charge.
At least two concrete bids are expected to be received by Abramovich this week, but whether they are close to what he is looking for has still to be determined, reports claim

But according to experts, the split won’t break any records as Britain’s most expensive divorce – a title currently held by Bernie Ecclestone’s estimated £750million payout to ex-wife Slavica.
In fact, the settlement depends on whether proceedings take place in England or Russia – and if there’s an all-important prenuptial agreement in place.
David Leadercramer, a partner at law firm DMH Stallard, told The Sun Online: “My belief is that unless there’s been some agreement between them, the likelihood is that they’ll probably get divorced in Russia.
Eclipse yacht
There is little doubt that the Eclipse yacht is a step above other vessels of its size and stature. There were only three requirements for Terry Disdale’s four-and-a-half-year project: ample room for helicopters, wide windows, and a pool. Other than that, the designer was free to do whatever he wanted.
