A mutual acquaintance and the woman he was with hosted him at their home for the South by Southwest music festival before the event. The testimony of a close friend of the victim helped bring down a conviction for Gleesh on charges of attempted assault. He was sentenced to five years in prison for the crime.

This confirmed that she had no romantic ties to Apollo in an interview with Interview Magazine’s Steve Lacy for the magazine’s October 2020 issue.
