Y: The Last Man premiered late last year, but its US network, Disney-owned Hulu, immediately canceled it.
In a similar vein to how shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Lucifer were saved after their initial axings, showrunner Eliza Clark committed to doing her best to have the show picked up for additional episodes by another network.
Sorry to disappoint you all, but The Last Man appears to have come to an end, as Clark has been unable to get a new network for his beloved show.

The Showrunner of Disney+’s Y: the Last Man Discusses “Disrupting the Binary”
“For those of you who have been wondering, we did our best to secure a new home for season 2 of Y. She recently tweeted, “However, it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen. To move a program is never easy, but it’s only been more difficult in recent years…
“In a volatile industry, I’ve always done a decent job of controlling my expectations. However, I must admit that this one really resonated with me. More stories were in the works and a pitch for season 2 that included fresh twists on some of the most popular stories from the book (astronauts?).
There are a lot of series that don’t even make it past the first season, and even a lot more that never get developed. I appreciate the time we spent together. I’m a huge fan of our program, and I’ve made lifetime friends and collaborators that I’d do everything.

Y: The Last Man’s CEO reveals why the monkey from Friends was replaced by a chimpanzee in the show’s second season.
“I got to adapt my favorite comic book. I was given the opportunity to host my own television show. I was able to meet some of my favorite artists and personalities in the world. All in all, it’s been a good experience. I’m hoping you’ll continue to tune in to the show. That you’ll continue to recommend it to your friends. There are still whole tales presented and performances that are very f**king bold and exciting, even if it doesn’t finish the way we wanted it to.”
Because trans guys do not have Y chromosomes, they do not die in the event of The Event, which leaves only one cisgender man living.
On Disney+, you may watch Y: The Last Man.
