Is Yoriichi Tsugikuni the Most Powerful Demon Slayer?
Yoruichi Tsugikuni is a character from the Demon Slayer manga about whom nothing is known. So, who is Yoriichi Tsugikuni, and is he the most powerful Demon Slayer in history?
Yoruichi Tsugikuni appears in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a prominent supporting character. During the Sengoku Era, he was a legendary Demon Slayer of the Demon Slayer Corps. Yoruichi is Michikatsu Tsugikuni’s younger twin brother, who later became a demon and served as Upper First Moon in the Twelve Demonic Moons.
The rest of this essay will go over Yoriichi Tsugikuni in further detail. We’ll answer some questions and completely introduce the character so you don’t have any questions about Yoriichi and his role in Demon Slayer, particularly in terms of his talents and abilities.
Yoriichi Tsugikuni: Who Is He?
Yoruichi and his twin brother Michikatsu were born into the Tsugikuni clan during the Sengoku period when twins were thought to be terrible omen. Yoruichi’s father declared that he would kill him because of a weird birthmark on his forehead; however, their mother Akeno became enraged and imprisoned him. Yoruichi was eventually agreed to be sent to a temple at the age of eleven to become a monk.
Yoruichi fled away from home when their mother died and did not return. Yoruichi met Uta, a girl approximately his age who had lost her entire family, after running nonstop for a day and night in the mountains with no indications of tiredness. Yoruichi chose to live with her, and ten years later, Uta and Yoriichi married; the first one later became pregnant.
Yoruichi left the house just before the anticipated arrival to summon a midwife, promising his wife he’d be back by dusk. Yoruichi had helped an elderly guy along the route and had wasted so much time that he decided to return home and call a midwife the next day. The sun had set by this time, and when he returned home, he discovered that Uta and the unborn child had been slaughtered by a demon.
Yoruichi was so shaken by the tragedy that he cradled her body in his arms for 10 days and only buried her when a Demon Slayer persuaded him to do so. Yoruichi reclaimed his blade and began training as a Demon Slayer as a result of this.
Yoruichi soon met Muzan Kibutsuji, the Slayers’ ancestral demon, and mortal enemy, and decided to destroy him. Muzan had seven hearts and five brains that moved around in his body, according to Yoruichi. Seeing his good fortune, he merged all of his forms into a single strike, cutting them all off and thoroughly overwhelming Muzan. Muzan would finally escape, but the battle had left him scarred and terrified of Yoruichi.
Yoruichi would go on to become the Demon Slayers’ most powerful. His skills would be passed down to his companion Sumiyoshi, Tanjiro Kamado’s ancestor. When he was more than 80 years old, he perished in a fight with his demonic twin brother.
Is Yoriichi Tsugikuni the Most Powerful Demon Slayer in the World?
Yoruichi Tsugikuni was, according to what we know, the most powerful Demon Slayer in history. He is in charge of the development of all Breathing Styles and was powerful enough to almost kill Muzan with relative ease. He was born with the Demon Slayer’s Mark, the Transparent World, and the Selfless State, and had a godlike physique and a natural skill for swordsmanship.
He was dubbed an incomparable prodigy for quickly defeating a trained sword master as a child who had never picked up a sword before. Yoruichi was able to beat countless demons after training like a demon slayer, to the point where his older brother claimed he could not even equal him as an adult.
As the solitary demon slayer, he was able to corner Muzan Kibutsuji and overpower him in a flash, putting him on the verge of death until he was able to flee. Muzan was badly affected by the incident and referred to him as a monster, despite the fact that he averted death. Even the sight of his earrings terrified him, and the mere thought of Yoriichi made the bodies of demons he’d never met shiver.
He fought his older twin brother Kokushibo, who had transformed into a demon, just before his death at the age of at least 85. Despite his ancient age and apparent blindness, he immediately took the upper hand in the struggle, cutting his throat in one swift stroke before dying standing up. Kokushibo acknowledges that if Yoriichi had struck a second blow before dying, he would have killed him, despite the fact that Yoriichi’s might was still in full bloom.
Is Yoriichi Tanjiro Yoriichi’s Father?
No, Yoruichi is not Tanjiro’s father; as we all know, Tanjuro Kamado is Tanjiro’s father, as established early in the novel. Yoruichi was not even linked to Tanjiro’s ancestor, Sumiyoshi, as Sumiyoshi was simply a close friend of Yoriichi’s and someone to whom Yoriichi passed on his powers, but they were not related in any way.
To Tanjiro, who is Yoriichi?
Technically, there isn’t anything. Tanjiro and Yoriichi have a certain resemblance, although they are not related in any way and have never met. Yoruichi is substantially older than Tanjiro, and the two could not possibly have met. Furthermore, they are unrelated, as Tanjiro is a descendent of Sumiyoshi, who was a close friend of Yoriichi’s but not related to him.
Yoruichi’s Voice Actor: Who Is He?
Yoruichi made his vocal debut in Season 2 of the Demon Slayer anime when he was voiced by Kazuhiko Inoue, despite the fact that he had previously appeared as a voiceless flashback. Inoue has been one of Japan’s most well-known voice actors since his debut in 1973.
Anthony in Candy Candy and later Joe in the 1979 version of Cyborg 009 were among her early roles in the 1970s. Inoue’s work in the 1980s spanned from adult-oriented series like Oishinbo to series that were popular among the younger age, such as Tenku Senki Shurato.
Kakashi Hatake in Naruto, Klarth F. Lester in Tales of Phantasia, Eiri Yuki in Gravitation, You Miyagi in Junj Romantica, Aiôn in Chrono Crusade, and Hatori Sohma in Fruits Basket are some of Inoue’s more recent foreign roles. Inoue’s singing style is typically described as natural and relaxed.
Kazuhiko Inoue’s wide and versatile vocal range allows him to portray a variety of personalities, including energetic characters like Joe in Cyborg 009 and Kusanagi in Blue Seed; cold and indifferent characters like Eiri Yuki; the always hilarious but still very powerful wizard Guenter in Kyo Kara Maoh!; and dangerously seductive characters like Aion. Inoue is also recognized for playing strange characters like Nagisa Sawa in Haru who Daiteita and Shiron the Windragon in Legendz.
Kazuhiko Inoue is a voice actor who has worked on video games, drama CDs, Japanese-language film dubs, and audiobooks in addition to anime. He has a number of LP and CD albums under his belt, as well as a number of “anime character albums.”

Season 3 of Demon Slayer Has a Release Date.
Demon Slayer is currently made up of two anime seasons and an anime film that serves as a bridge between them. The anime’s first season ran from April 6, 2019, to September 28, 2019, and consisted of 26 episodes. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train, the sequel, premiered on October 16, 2020.
The second season, consisting of 18 episodes, premiered on October 10, 2021, and is currently broadcasting. In the meantime, the manga has been completed, and we know exactly how much of the plot needs to be adapted.
Demon Slayer was an instant success. The anime series grew in popularity as a result of the manga’s success, and it is now regarded as one of the most popular anime series of the modern age.
The Entertainment District Arc, which ended with Chapter 99 of the manga, will be wrapped up in the second season of the anime series. More than 100 chapters remain to be adapted from the manga, which has a total of 205 chapters. Isn’t this great news? Yes, it is!
The third season of Demon Slayer has been officially confirmed as of February 2022. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba was a foregone conclusion for renewal because the second season was a major global smash, and given how popular it is and how much material remains to be adapted, it was a certain conclusion.
We didn’t believe there should have been any questions, and we were correct in our prediction that the third season would be confirmed when the second ended.
Considering all of this, the third season of Demon Slayer is likely at least a year away, and we don’t expect it to premiere before 2023.
Season 3 Trailer for Demon Slayer
You’ve now learned all of the facts and our opinions about Demon Slayer season 3, which means you’ve probably deduced that there won’t be a trailer for the third season. This is merely due to the fact that it is still too early for a third season trailer; the season has only recently begun production, therefore we’ll have to wait for confirmation of the third season before we can expect to see a teaser.
As previously stated, Demon Slayer was a foregone conclusion for renewal, but a trailer is still too early in the production process. The renewal was almost certainly due to the manga’s success and the anime’s status as one of the most popular in the genre’s history. However, we still don’t have any official information on when the new season will be released, so we’ll have to wait a little longer for the trailer. However, we do have an official teaser, which you can check out here:
Along with the teaser, we also have some official artwork, which focuses on the two Hashira who will play a key role in the Swordsmith Village Arc. Muichiro Tokito, the Mist Hashira, and Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Hashira, are the Hahira. Here’s how it looks:
Considering what we’ve discussed, a trailer for Demon Slayer season three is unlikely to surface before the end of 2022, if at all, and most likely not until early 2023, depending on when the third season will premiere. During the upcoming Kimetsu Fest, which will take place in Japan on April 16 and 17, 2022, further information regarding the show’s third season is likely to be disclosed. During the occasion, a full trailer will be unveiled, as well as an official release date or timeframe.

The Plot of Season 3 of Demon Slayer
Based on what we know so far, the third season of Demon Slayer will adapt the next major arc after the Entertainment District Arc. That arc is the Swordsmith Village Arc, which leads into the Final Battle Arc, along with the shorter Hashira Training Arc. We can now introduce you to the Swordsmith Village storyline, as we now know what the third season will adapt to. Here’s a quick rundown of both.
To obtain his new Nichirin Blade, Tanjiro Kamado was dispatched to the Swordsmith Village. He runs into Mitsuri Kanroji and Genya Shinazugawa there. While walking around the hamlet, Tanjiro notices Muichiro Tokito asking for a key to give Kotetsu; the key is used to launch Yoriichi Zeroroshiki, an old doll with a rare Nichirin Blade.
Muichiro breaks one of the doll’s six arms while training with her. Overwhelmed by the prospect of not being able to repair the doll and follow in his father’s footsteps as a craftsman, Kotetsu flees. Tanjiro locates him and offers him assistance. When Kotetsu arrives at the broken doll, he tells Tanjiro that he needs to become stronger than “that darn indifferent bastard.”
The torturous and arduous training with the fighting doll commences. Tanjiro still manages to hit the doll after 7 days, and he obtains the ability to smell the enemy’s movements by smell; the next day, he slices off Yoriichi Zeroshiki’s head. The heroes discover an old Nichiren blade in the doll, which Hotaru Haganezuka repairs and polishes.
The fifth and fourth upper moons attack the village. Hantengu approaches them during the time of the conversation with Tanjiro Kamado which eventually influenced Muichiro Tokito, and a fight ensues. Genya Shinazugawa and Nezuko Kamado are bonded during this battle. Muichiro is flung from the battleground and comes face to face with Gyokko, who is going to murder Haganezuku and interrupts his polishing process in the process.
Muichiro overcomes himself and defeats Gyokko by awakening a mist-like mark. Matsuri Kanroji, meantime, enters the fight against Hantengu and obtains a heart-shaped mark. Tanjiro wields his fresh, unpolished blade to pursue the genuine body of the fourth moon. Mizuko Kamado overcomes her demonic powers and is no longer hurt by the sun’s rays after defeating the fifth and fourth Kizuki.
Season 3 Cast of Demon Slayer
The primary cast of Demon Slayer will not change much until the final arc. Some new characters will be introduced, and many antagonists will be eliminated following their deaths, but the main cast will largely remain the same until the very end.
This is why we believe the main voice cast will return for the third season, as well as any potential future seasons because it is an unwritten law in modern-day anime adaptations.
We don’t have proof of this, so we’ll have to wait a little longer for confirmation, but we expect most of the names in our table to return in future seasons of Demon Slayer: The Series.

Where Can You watch Demon Slayer Season 3?
You can’t view the third season of Demon Slayer anyplace right now since it hasn’t been released yet, and we don’t know when it will be. Still, given how anime works, you’ll most likely be able to stream and/or watch the show on Crunchyroll in the West (and potentially worldwide if one of the streaming sites, such as Netflix, acquires the show), while in Japan, we’ll have to wait and see which TV station will broadcast it.
Will There Be a Fourth Season of Demon Slayer?
While it may be too early to speculate about a potential fourth season of Demon Slayer, given that we don’t even know when the third season will premiere (now that we know it’s in the works), there are some strong signs that the show will continue after the third season.
