“Acapulco” is based on the 2017 film “How to Be a Latin Lover” by 3Pas Studios and Pantelion Films. Apple works with Lionsgate Television, 3Pas Studios, and The Tannenbaum Company on projects. The show’s co-creators are Austin Winsberg, Eduardo Cisneros, and Jason Shuman, with Chris Harris serving as showrunner. Winsberg, Cisneros, Shuman, Harris, Derbez, and Ben Odell are executive producers for 3Pas Studios, while Eric and Kim Tannenbaum and Jason Wang are executive producers for the Tannenbaum Company.
