Naofumi, our beloved Shield hero, returns in The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 2 Episode 1, and he brings with him one of the most thrilling isekais to have appeared in recent years. Take a look at the review to see where this new voyage will take us.

The first episode of Season 2 of The Rising of the Shield Hero offers an overview of the season

Season 2 of The Rising Of The Shield Hero, also known as Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari, is an action, adventure, drama, fantasy, and, most importantly, isekai anime that follows the highly renowned and popular Season 1 from 2019. The series is based on Yusagi Aneko’s light novel, which was illustrated by Minami Seira.

Company Kinema Citrus, the studio behind the first season of the show as well as other critically praised anime like Made in Abyss and Barakamon, is adapting the second season into anime. Masato Jinbo, an industry veteran who has helmed shows including Chaos Child and Restaurant to Another World, is directing this season. Tate no Yuusha no Nariagari Season 2 Episode 1 is another name for this episode of the show.

The Rising Of The Shield Hero Season 2 Episode 1 Review- Shield’s Back

If you enjoyed Season 1 of Shield Hero, rejoice because Season 2 delivers exactly what the first did and nothing more. All of our favourite characters have returned and are doing what they do best. The personalities we didn’t like for are just as obnoxious and ineffective, with no plans to change anytime soon. As a spectator, you knew exactly what you were in for when you turned on this episode, and it didn’t let you down in any way.

Rishia and her friendship with Itsuki, the Bow Hero, will be the focus of this season. She has a pretty clear route ahead of her, where she will get stronger with the support of Naofumi and eventually humiliate Itsuki in some way.

Raphtalia and Filo were also present, concerned for her well-being and as pleasant and enthusiastic about everything as they had always been. It was wonderful to see them again, and we’ll have more time to discuss their relationship with Naofumi and their development as characters if we see any in this season.

From the beginning, Naofumi has been a superbly written character, and he is a big cause for the show’s excellence and success. Many people have been moved by his trials and accomplishments. It felt like reuniting with an old friend as we were reintroduced to him in this episode.

However, while this will become clearer as the series progresses, our old friend doesn’t have much to do in the episode right now.

Our four cardinal heroes were confronted with a new obstacle in this episode, one that differed from their current goal of combating the waves.

Naturally, you can guess what each of the heroes’ reactions were, and naturally, Haime was left to handle everything on his own. This has been an issue with the series since the beginning. Apart from Hajime’s group, no one is even remotely skilled in any way. This is going to be more difficult than ever now that the revenge narrative is almost complete.

Shield Hero Season 2 Episode 1 has good production values, but there isn’t much else to say about it. The animation was excellent, and the characters appear to be as lively as ever. This OST is unique, although it sounds just as current and generic as the others. This episode felt like a trip back in time, as if each of us had been transported to 2019 and was seeing the show for the first time. While this is fantastic and precisely what viewers expected from the programme, it also implies that it hasn’t addressed any of the show’s early flaws. Only time will tell whether the show has become any worse, but it is not getting any better.

Verdict

Season 2 Episode 1 of The Rising Of The Shield Hero was enjoyable and had everything we’ve come to love about the series thus far. But how much longer can the performance go on with the same formula? I think we’ll find out more in the following episodes.
