After five years of marriage, Josh Flagg has stated that he and his husband Bobby Boyd are divorcing. In a message posted to Instagram on March 4, the Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles cast member announced the split.
Josh stated in the message, “Bobby and I are divorcing.” “This may come across as abrupt, but I felt it was more important to be transparent from the start than to bury the title. This was not a hasty or rash choice. Before reaching this conclusion, we gave it a lot of thought.”
“It wasn’t a lack of love; rather, it was the two of us growing in different ways and desiring very different things for ourselves,” he continued. Bobby is someone I strongly care about and for whom I have nothing but love and respect. That’s what I’d like our separation to reflect. “I appreciate everyone’s constant support.”
Following the March 4 post, Bobby issued a comment on his own Instagram. “The last 6 years of my life I wouldn’t change for the world,” he wrote. “I met and fell in love with my best buddy six years ago. We were inseparable from the first date and started off at breakneck speed. Josh and I had a whirlwind romance for which I will be eternally thankful. Throughout our partnership, we’ve both taught one other a lot and learned a lot about ourselves.”
“As the news has come out, it may seem sudden to most of you, but Josh and I have spent the previous few months working this out together,” the statement continued. We wanted this to be a private event for just the two of us, without the involvement of most of our friends and family. If there’s one thing I can say about both of us, it’s that we gave everything we had to make this happen.”
“And so, today, we both start on our new paths,” he said in a poignant letter to Josh and his followers. Although our romantic relationship may be over, I will always consider him a member of my family. Joshua, I adore you and wish you nothing but happiness and love. “I appreciate everyone’s love, support, and understanding.”
Josh and Bobby started dating in 2016 and became engaged later that year, with the unexpected proposal documented on Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles‘ Season 9 episode. In 2017, the pair married at the Beverly Hills Hotel.
