A young Gru’s journey to becoming the iconic supervillain of today is the center of Minions 2: The Rise of Gru, which was released in 2012.

Who Is Set to Be in the Cast of ‘minions: The Rise of Gru’?
In addition to Taraji P. Henson (Hidden Figures) as the cool and confident leader Belle Bottom, Jean-Claude Van Damme (The Expendables) as Jean Clawed, Lucy Lawless (Parks and Recreation) as Nunchuck, Dolph Lundgren (Rocky IV) as Vengeance, and Danny Trejo (Halloween) as Stronghold, the Vicious 6 also features an all-star cast.
The film also features a number of guest stars, including Russell Brand (Despicable Me) as the eager mad scientist Dr.
Nefario, Michelle Yeoh (Tomorrow Never Dies) as Master Chow, a Kung Fu fighting acupuncturist, Dame Julie Andrews (Mary Poppins) as Gru’s egocentric mother, and Alan Arkin (Edward Scissorhands) as legendary fighter Wild Knuckles.

What Is the Plot of ‘Minions: The Rise of Guru’?
Minions 2: The Rise of Gru follows the following plotline, according to Universal Studios “In the heart of the 1970s, amid a frenzy of feathered hair and flared jeans, Gru is growing up in the suburbs. “
An ardent supporter of the Vicious 6, a supervillain supergroup, Gru devises a strategy to become nasty enough to become a member of the organization. Thank goodness for his faithful minions who provide a hand in wreaking havoc when needed.
With the help of Gru and his Minion friends (including a new Minion with braces and a desperate need to please), Kevin, Stuart, Bob and Otto (a new Minion with braces and a desperate need to please) put their skills to use as they construct their first lair and experiment with their first weapons, all while completing the Minion’s first missions.”
As a result of the Vicious 6’s removal of their leader, Wild Knuckles, Gru is interviewed to become their newest member. Sadly, things don’t turn out as planned, and chaos erupts! In the end, though, Gru turns to an unlikely source for help: his father.

Release Date for Minions 2: The Rise of Gru?
Although Minions: The Rise of Gru was originally scheduled to be released to the public on July 3, 2020, the date has been postponed owing to the COVID-19 pandemic regulations.
It was also slated for July 2, 2021, following the first wave of the pandemic, but was postponed once more due to the second wave. Minions 2: The Rise of Gru, on the other hand, will be released on July 1, 2022, according to Illumination.
Is Gru’s Ascension Complete?
The film “Minions: The Rise of Gru” is set to hit theatres on July 1, 2022. Since its initial release date, the second “Minions” film has experienced a few major release date shifts.

Is a Trailer for Minions: Rise of Gru Available?
On February 5, 2020, a full-length trailer for “Minions: The Rise of Gru” was published. The trailer was released just days after a teaser for the upcoming “Minions” spin-off franchise episode was shown during the 2020 Super Bowl.
As it introduces us to the continuing “Minions” franchise plot, the official trailer is equal parts high energy and light humor. The trailer shows Gru as a pre-teen undergoing an interview to join The Vicious 6 over the length of approximately three minutes.
Even when the interview goes badly, Gru tries to capture the team’s attention by taking a valuable item right in front of them. Gru subsequently makes the fatal error of giving the thing to one of his minions, Otto, as he and the rest of the core minion gang ride off to battle The Vicious 6.
The situation becomes much more awkward when Otto proudly announces that he swapped the item for a pet rock, which Gru does not appreciate.
Despite the fact that the official “Minions: The Rise of Gru” trailer has been available for well over a year, Universal Pictures may release a newer trailer for the “Minions” sequel as the July 1, 2022 release date approaches.
