What Is the Storyline of Outer Range Like?
According to the official summary of the series: “A rancher struggling for his land and his family, Royal Abbott (Josh Brolin), discovers an incomprehensible secret at the edge of Wyoming’s wilderness in the film Outer Range, which is based on the novel of the same name. Outer Range is a suspenseful fable with undertones of sarcastic comedy and otherworldly mystery, and it investigates how we deal with the unknowable in our lives.
“In Season 1, the Abbotts are dealing with the loss of their daughter-in-law Rebecca, who has been missing for several months. As if that weren’t enough, the Tillersons (the opulent owners of the neighbouring profit-driven ranch) make a move for their land, pushing them even closer to the edge. In the neighbourhood, an untimely death kicks off a chain of tension-filled occurrences, and what appear to be small-town, soil-bound problems come to a climax with the appearance of a mysterious black gap in the Abbotts’ west pasture.

The story is set in a ranch that belongs to the Abbott family. Everything was going well for them until a girl named Autumn arrived. Following her arrival, strange incidents start taking place at the ranch, and Royal Abbott finds a crater-like black hole in the perimeter. Making matters worse, Abbott’s daughter-in-law goes missing while their farm neighbors try to get their hands on Royal’s land.
