In Season Six, What Is the Plot of Riverdale All About?
Season 6 opens with a trip to “the town with pep,” a fantastical other reality where monsters, magic, and superstitions rule supreme. It was a terrifying season, with a number of disturbing tales including sacrifices, “sin pie,” and even the devil.
The opening episode of the second season of Riverdale opened up right where the season 5 finale left off, with Hiram Lodge exploding a bomb in Archie and Betty’s house, with the two of them inside.
They miraculously survive an explosion, but Archie and Betty realize that they have actual superpowers and the show continues on with its strange tales. When Abigail returns, Cheryl is possessed and Percival Pickens shows up to cause problems as a descendant of the town’s first settler.
TVLine reported on April 9 that Riverdale will have another musical episode this season. ‘American Psycho,’ the musical based on the novel and film of the same name, will be performed this time around.
Patrick Bateman, a financial executive in the 1980s, has a secret serial killer alter ego, which he hides from his coworkers and family.
Who Will Make a Comeback for Riverdale’s Sixth Season?
Lili Reinhart, KJ Apa, Cole Sprouse, Camila Mendes, Madeline Petsch, Charles Melton, Vanessa Morgan, Casey Cott, Drew Ray Tanner, Erinn Westbrook, and Mädchen Amick are all returning for season six. There will be no more appearances by Mark Consuelos, who played the wicked Hiram Lodge on the CW drama for four seasons.
But wait, there’s more. Sabrina Spellman, who was played by Kiernan Shipka for four seasons on Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, made her debut earlier this season. When Sabrina first arrived from Greendale, it was to aid out her buddy Cheryl Blossom, but she’ll be back later this season. On Saturday, April 9, Riverdale’s PaleyFest panel confirmed the news, according to TVLine.
Is Riverdale’s Seventh Season Going to Happen?
Yes! On March 22, Deadline reported that Riverdale had been renewed for a seventh season.
Mark Pedowitz, the CW Network’s chairman and CEO, said in a statement that these scripted series, along with the alternative series that was renewed earlier, will serve as the foundation for the 2022-23 season and beyond.
“These scripted series, along with the alternative series that was renewed earlier, will serve as the foundation for the 2022-23 season and beyond,” he said. Adding new and returning series will help reinforce and expand our multiplatform footprint, as these dramas are vital to our broader digital strategy because they are some of our most streamed and socially engaged programs.
Lili Reinhart hinted about the show’s impending termination during an Instagram Live in November 2021, but no official announcement has been made about its future.
What to Expect in the Second Episode of Riverdale Season 6

Nothing is certain in the Riverdale universe. Neighbors could be cult leaders, and your father could be a murderer. Witches are only a few miles away, too. The following are some things we can expect to see throughout the upcoming sixth season.
It’s been five long years, but Barchie is now a reality for the die-hard devotees. With Archie and Betty by their side, things couldn’t be better for them. Due to Betty’s last-minute phone call, they’ll be able to keep their newfound love alive as they continue their careers with the FBI and Andrews Construction, respectively.
Trash Bag Killer will return to haunt Betty in horrific ways after calling her up in the Season 5 finale to let her know he was alive and well.
What follows is the meat and potatoes of the matter. Season 6 will see Cheryl wreaking havoc, and she’s out for revenge. Because of Nana Rose, Cheryl learned that her ancestor Abigail Blossom was burnt at the stake by the ancestors of Archie, Betty, and Jughead.
With the same curse Abigail used just before she was set ablaze all those years ago, we’ll see if the power from Rivervale can be transferred to Riverdale. It’s safe to say that Cheryl will be making more trouble in Riverdale in the near future.
Finally, the Riverdale power couple is known as Varchie, Veronica, and Reggie. They also planned to grow their corporate empire by opening a casino in town at the end of Season 5 besides being romantically involved.
Starting with the town council’s approval of their ideas, there are a number of hurdles they must clear to get there. As far as Varchie is concerned, they’ll have a Bonnie and Clyde-style plot in place within a matter of days.
Finally, Jughead and Tabitha have taken their relationship to the next level by moving in together (Bughead fans weep). Jughead is back at work at Riverdale High School, where he will lead the school newspaper in reporting on all the significant events taking place in Riverdale, which we all know is not an easy feat given the town’s history.
Will There Be a 7 Season of Riverdale?
Yes. The CW network has renewed Riverdale for a seventh season. No official word yet on whether or not this will be the last season of the programme, but earlier statements from some of the cast members have hinted that it might be.
