Why Is It Taking So Long for Boku No Hero Academia Season 6 to Be Released?

As of the most recent update, no official confirmation has been received from Studio BONES, Weekly Shonen Jump, Shueisha, or any other entity associated with the production of My Hero Academia Season 6.The material in this page will be updated as soon as the news is confirmed by the appropriate authorities.

Boku no Hero Academia Season 6 is expected to premiere in the fall of 2022, according to Weekly Shonen Jump, a Japanese manga publication.Official website reported on September 25, 2021, that “Details, such as the broadcast time, would be disclosed at a later date.”Because to the continuous success of the anime series, a sixth season was unavoidable. The only big snag is the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which is a source of contention.

Based on the normal production, it appeared that the sixth season may be scheduled for the spring of 2022, possibly in either March or April of that year. The decision to postpone the event until Summer 2022 was predicted, but the decision to postpone it until Fall 2022 was unexpected.

Japan has been hit by several outbreaks of the deadly virus in recent years. Even during the spring of 2021, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government maintained a state of emergency in the health sector and closed or curtailed the operations of some enterprises.

Studio BONES, on the other hand, is likely to be able to work past any health and safety regulations that may be in place. The majority of anime studios that are experiencing financial difficulties rely primarily on outsourcing work to Chinese and Korean companies.

Is the My Hero Academia Manga Series Set to Finish in a Few Years?

The Final Act of the Boku no Hero Academia narrative began in 2021.

The My Hero Academia anime series is based on the manga series of the same name by writer and illustrator Kohei Horikoshi, who also created the anime series. When the fifth anime season premiered in Spring 2021, the manga was already up to My Hero Academia Volume 30 in Japan, which coincided with the start of the fifth anime season. By the time MHA S5 came to a close, the manga had reached Volume 32.

Every week, new chapters are posted. However, because to the 2020 pandemic, the tankobon format volumes were only released five times a year in the months of February, April, July, September, and December, instead of the traditional five times a year.

The official English translation, published by VIZ Media, will be available not long after the Japanese release. Volume 29 was released on September 7, 2021, and is the final volume in the series. On the official website of VIZ Media, it is also available to read the three most recent manga chapters in English for no charge.

There is also the manga series My Hero Academia: Vigilantes, written by Hideuki Furuhashi and illustrated by Betten Court, which is a spinoff of the main series. Many fans of the manga, which is already up to Volume 12 in Japanese (and Volume 10 in English), are hopeful that a My Hero Academia: Vigilantes anime adaptation will be produced in the near future.

When Comparing the Manga and Anime Versions of My Hero Academia,

Overall, the anime adaptation of My Hero Academia closely follows the manga’s plot. The anime version has incorporated new material and even some filler recap episodes, but it has stayed true to the story’s core.

The pacing has been excellent, with the tale moving along at a reasonable clip without feeling dragged out. The first season had 1.5 chapters every episode on average, however subsequent seasons have been faster-paced, with two to three chapters per episode on average.

Episode 88: His Start, one of Season 4’s more action-packed episodes, even adapted content from six chapters! The majority of the action-oriented episodes, however, adapt three chapters.

The anime averaged two to three chapters each episode for the most of the fifth season, with the first few episodes mainly recounting events. The first 10 pages of Chapter 219 were adapted for MHA Episode 100: The New Power and All For One, the anime’s mid-season finale.

The anime adaptation began to mix things up in My Hero Academia Season 5 Episode 13 (or My Hero Academia Episode 101). By skipping all the way to Chapter 241, the anime entirely rearranged the story arcs.

With 6 episodes, the anime adapted the 12 chapters of the Endeavor Agency story arc. Surprisingly, My Academia Episode 107 then adapted Chapters 253, 254, and 255 from the beginning of the Paranormal Liberation War storyline.

After that, My Academia Episode 108 returned to the Meta Liberation Army arc’s 23 chapters. This is the so-called My Villain Academia arc, which focuses mostly on the villains’ development.
