After Governor Diana Foxington insulted guinea pig philanthropist Professor Rupert Marmalade IV on-air, The Bad Guys, a group of criminal animals lead by the cool-headed Mr. Wolf, seek to steal the Golden Dolphin award from him.

During the theft, Wolf accidentally assists an elderly lady he intended to pickpocket and is applauded for it, causing Wolf to be moved by his actions and Marmalade’s speech. The gang is caught trying to flee and is arrested.

To seize his prize again, Wolf urges Marmalade to try to reform them. Marmalade invites Wolf and the gang to his house, but they appear unable to grasp the concept of good behaviour. Mr. Snake’s inclination to devour guinea pigs causes Marmalade’s rescue attempt to fail.

Foxington abandons the experiment as Wolf admits he is tired of being reviled for his species. Foxington admits she understands and has hope for him. Wolf ponders the issue and ends up saving a cat from a tree, which Marmalade films and uploads to YouTube. As a result of the publicity, the Bad Guys’ image improves.

When a big party is planned, the gang pulls off another heist. To accomplish the scheme would betray Wolf’s newfound trust. The lights go out and the gang is accused of stealing a rare meteor. After the group is jailed, Marmalade visits them in private and taunts them, revealing that he took the meteorite and disguised himself as the old lady Wolf saved earlier.
