So yet, there has only been one season of the anime television series Hundred, which is directed by Tomoki Kobayashi and animated by Studio Production IMS. A decision on whether or not the director will return for Hundred s2 has yet been made.
The first Hundred television anime series, consisting of 12 episodes, aired in Japan in April 2016. Hundred Season 2 Episode 1 or some form of follow-up has yet to be released, despite the fact that the series has gained a large fan base since its debut.
Is There Going to Be a Hundred Season 2?
The second season of Hundred will never happen. Unfortunately, the Hundred anime adaptation did not out to be a financially successful one. It was not possible to turn a profit on the Hundred animation. With just about 1,350 sales on average on Blu-ray discs, this series has a low volume of sales. Another point to consider is that, following the anime adaptation, the latest volume of the light book sold only about 5,000 copies, so I don’t see how Hundred season 2 could be revived.

Additionally, the firm that created the animation for this series, Production IMS, filed into bankruptcy in 2018. Volume 16 signalled the end of the light novel series as well. Therefore, there is no reason why the production committee would ever approve funding for a second season of this series in the future.

This is one of the anime sequels in which I can confidently state that a new season and release date will never be announced, unlike the other sequels. There are simply too many variables working against this series for it to ever be considered for any other anime ventures in the future. Even social media platforms such as Twitter and government websites have not been updated in the last four years.

When it becomes clear that a new Hundred season will not be made, you can begin reading the light novel from volume 5 because the anime only covered volumes 1 through 4 of the novel.
