Web-based streaming service Netflix has announced the debut of a new animated series based on the popular fighting game franchise Tekken in 2022. Web-based streaming service Netflix appears to be on a roll when it comes to drawing ideas for new series from gaming and geek culture.
This is evident in the recent live-action adaptations of Cowboy Bebop and The Witcher series on the platform. Another popular game title is now being turned into an animated series by the service. Netflix has announced that it will produce a Tekken anime that will be released in 2022 and will focus on one of the franchise’s key heroes, Tekken.
Jin Kazama is a character in the anime Jin Kazama. Cowboy Bebop, a Netflix original series that premiered in November 2021 to mixed reviews, was canceled after only one season. However, the Netflix team appears unfazed by the loss, as it continues to unveil new live-action projects, including one for the long-running anime One Piece.
With the success of Netflix shows based on video games like Arcane, Castlevania, and DOTA: Dragon’s Blood, it’s not surprising that the platform is now focusing on Tekken, one of the most well-known fighting games franchises in the world.
Tekken Bloodline Release Date:
The anime’s release date has yet to be confirmed by Netflix, and there is no word on how many episodes or seasons it will have. The animation studio behind it is also a mystery. With the anime premiering this year, no predictions can be made with certainty.
The plot is roughly implied by Netflix’s synopsis, which, along with the trailer, paints a picture of what the story will be like:“‘Power is everything.’ Jin Kazama learned the family self-defense arts, Kazama-Style Traditional Martial Arts, from his mother at an early age. Even so, he was powerless when a monstrous evil suddenly appeared, destroying everything dear to him, changing his life forever
. Angry at himself for being unable to stop it, Jin vowed revenge and sought absolute power to exact it. His quest will lead to the ultimate battle on a global stage — The King of Iron Fist Tournament.”According to that description, Tekken: Bloodline appears to be an adaptation of the story from Tekken 3.

Kazama’s mother, Jin, has already trained him in traditional martial arts, but he’ll need to do a lot more to prepare for the challenges ahead.
