After an eight-year marriage, Ashley Darby and her husband Michael Darby have divorced. According to Us Weekly, Ashley Darby of the Real Housewives of Potomac has divorced her husband Michael Darby.
“Ashley was walking around saying her marriage is ending, and she’s about to be on the dating market,” an insider who attended Karen Huger’s RHOP: Karen’s Grande Dame Reunion premiere party on Saturday, April 16 exclusively tells Us.
“It’s been almost 8 incredible years,” the 33-year-old reality star said on Instagram on Tuesday, April 19. According to a statement posted by Bravo’s Daily Dish, despite their split, Ashley and Michael “will always love and respect one other.”
“We’ve decided to break up.” “We understand there will be many different viewpoints on why we made this decision,” she said. “People will jump to the conclusion that the causes were too much reality TV intrusion into our most personal lives, age gaps, cultural concerns, or child-rearing differences.” All of these circumstances may have influenced our unwavering affection for one another, but none of them is the root cause of our mutual decision to split ways.”
Ashley added, “We are now at very different stages in our lives and have very different objectives for our futures.” We each want the other to experience true joy and fulfilment, but we don’t feel we’ll be able to do it together.”

Ashley and Michael tied the knot in 2014, two years before Bravo’s Real Housewives of Orange County premiered. The couple’s relationship quickly became a talking topic after Michael allegedly grabbed the back end of Katie Rost’s then-fiancé, Andrew Martin, during a party. The contractor and his wife denied the charges during the Season 1 reunion, which aired in April 2016.
In September 2018, Michael was accused of groping a cameraman’s butt while working on an episode of the reality show. He was banned from filming and charged with second-degree sexual assault and improper sexual contact.

After Michael was caught cheating, Ashley pushed for revisions to the prenup. And she claimed that doing so made her feel more confident about the futures of herself and their two children. The whispers surrounding the new season haven’t stopped yet.
Candiace Dillard and Gizelle Bryant reportedly fell out when Gizelle accused Chris Bassett of being improper with her at last season’s reunion, as we previously reported.
