Obi-Wan Kenobi is going to be on Disney Plus soon, but it’s going to be a little later than first thought. On May 27, instead of May 25, the Star Wars spin-off will be on TV.
It comes after the first teaser trailer, which showed the Grand Inquisitor but didn’t show Darth Vader, except for the sound of mechanical breathing at the end of the trailer. The new release date comes after that trailer. So you can still see the Sith Lord again.

It will be out on May 27, 2022. In this case, it’s two days after the original date of May 25. As a bonus, both episodes 1 and 2 will be released at the same time. The change means both will be released at the Star Wars Celebration.
Star Wars says that after the first Friday episode is released, Obi-Wan Kenobi will go back to releasing an episode every Wednesday for Disney Plus.

Obi-Wan Kenobi’s story: Darth Vader’s return to the show.
The big news is that Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader will meet again. They will both use lightsabers.
Obi-Wan, of course, has the upper hand because of their last meeting. Obi-Wan defeated his former apprentice and left him for dead on Mustafar, but his body was found and he was kept alive by a new set of cybernetic armor. It was then that Darth Vader was born, and he was named after him.
They both have Darth Vader, but he’s very different from the planet-destroying villain in A New Hope’s “nooooo” scene. We got there. It’s likely that the Obi-Wan series will come close to this on Disney Plus.
Kathleen Kennedy, the head of Lucasfilm, said that we’ll be getting the “rematch of the century.” There’s also a 10-year time gap (via StarWars.com).
Joel Edgerton and Bonnie Piesse will reprise their roles as Luke Skywalker’s Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru, better known as Owen and Beru Lars. At this point in the movie’s history, Luke is being raised far away from his now-evil father, Darth Vader.

He wrote the show’s theme, Variety says. John Williams, who wrote the music for all nine Skywalker Saga movies and turned 90 in February, wrote it. Outside of the movies, he also wrote the music for Solo: A Star Wars Story and Disney Parks’ Galaxy’s Edge, which are both Star Wars movies.
