The I’m Quitting Herring anime adaptation will premiere on April 5, 2022, based on the light novel “I’m Quitting Heroing: Next Gig is at the Demon Queen’s Castle” by Quantum and Hana Amano.

What is I’m Quitting Heroing About?

The anime follows Leo Demonheart, the most powerful hero who has fought the Demon King’s army. Leo tries to take up where he left off after fighting the demon forces. This is because he has been exiled as a new threat to humanity’s survival. Leo has grown so powerful in their eyes that he can simply betray anyone. As a result, Leo has little choice but to seek assistance from his former adversaries.

He meets up with the Demon King when he arrives and decides to join forces with him. He tells the King that he’s seeking a job that will allow him to assist in the rebuilding of the demon army. The king accepts Leo’s offer, and he joins him in resurrecting the army he once defeated. More importantly, because there is so much work to be done, Leo begins to use his abilities to assist the fading demon civilization.

However, he runs into his old foe, Echidna, along the way. According to her, the reason they are attempting to attack human civilization is considerably more complicated than meets the eye. Leo has once again found a reason to live.

The Anime’s Story:

Leo Demonhart does not achieve a hero’s status after saving humanity from the vile Demon King. Those he fought to protect, on the other hand, see him with distrust and disdain. Exiled Leo seeks a position in the army of his former foe, despite being seen as a pariah with nowhere else to turn! But the army isn’t what it was before Leo’s defeat, so Leo will have to whip the forces back into fighting form if he wants to keep his new position.
