What’s the story behind Arifureta: Shokugyou de Sekai Saikyou?

Ryo Shirakome penned the story for Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest, which artist Takayaki illustrated. Manga, an anime adaptation, prequels, and a comedy spin-off have all been produced by the series so far. Season 2 of the anime is rumored to be underway.

His friendship with Kaori, the school idol, causes him to be teased by his classmates, and the story revolves around high schooler Hajime Nagumo as he struggles to deal with the pressure. After his classmates are transferred to a fantasy world, Hajime only receives the ability to transform solid materials, which is often found among artisans and smiths, as opposed to the strong magical talents of his classmates.

One of his classmates betrays him during a dungeon raid and drops him to the depths of the dungeon. In order to get out of the dungeon and become stronger, he survives the fall and builds weapons. Along the way, he encounters the vampire Yue, as well as the bunny-eared Shea and the perverted dragon Tio.
