Little Novels As Compared to Animations
Satoru Yamaguchi and Nami Hidaka wrote and illustrated the original light novel, which is the basis for the series. An English translation of the series, published by J-Novel Club, is also available in Japanese.
The show, which premiered in 2015, is still airing. The fact that the series is still airing is welcome news since anime may serve as a promotional tool for textual literature. A total of 11 volumes were released for the light novel series, which ended on August 20, 2021. Volumes 1 and 2 of the anime were both adapted in the first season. Episodes up to and including Volume 6 were shown in season two. There seems to be enough material for a third season based on the surviving source material.

The first two seasons of HameFura were released one year apart. So, assuming everything goes according to plan, the third season will be released in a similar manner.
