Kurt Busch, the NASCAR racer, and his wife Ashley Busch are calling it quits.

As E! News reported on May 18, Ashley filed for divorce in Florida this month, citing in part that the marriage was “irreparably damaged,” according to court filings. She also claimed that her spouse had performed “tortuous conduct” in her lawsuit. Ashley, who married Kurt in January 2017, did not elaborate on the allegations.

As indicated in the filings, Kurt “shut off her access to their joint banking account, credit cards and all other kinds of assistance” in early April, according to Ashley. Even though he already has a place to live, Kurt “demanded that she vacate the family home by the first week of June,” according to her.

Kurt sent a statement to E! News after the announcement of their breakup. That my wife Ashley and I are trying to end our marriage devastated both of our hearts,” he added. When it comes to divorce, “I hope our privacy will be respected,” says the narrator.

Nothing says “I do” like a joint bank account, and nothing says “I don’t” like freezing the AMEX card before a trip to TJ MAXX.

For those of you who are skeptical of Ashley’s willingness to buy at TJ Maxx despite her considerable wealth, remember that she has been competing in NASCAR for almost seven years. In the South, TJ Maxx has been dubbed “Chanel”. Maybe.

Ashley filed for divorce in Florida earlier this month, according to TMZ Sports, which verified the impending split and the resulting freeze on assets. Ashley said in court documents that she and her husband’s marriage was “irretrievably ruined”. As a result of Kurt’s occupation, the friendship between the two was quickly established. A year after they first met, they got married in December of the following year.
