Google co-founder Sergey Brin seeks Divorce, joins Gates and Bezos in the split
Sergey Brin and his wife of four years are separating, according to a story from Insider. A divorce decree has been filed by the 48-year-old Google co-founder with his wife of one year, attorney Nicole Shanahan.
Brin filed papers for divorce in January claiming “irreconcilable disagreements,” according to Bloomberg’s ranking of the world’s wealthiest people.
In November of last year, Shanahan and Brin, who had been dating for three years, tied the knot in a low-key ceremony.
Records in the couple’s divorce case say they’ve been divorced since December of 2021.
According to reports, co-founder Sergey Brin wants to share parental responsibility for the couple’s 2-year-old daughter. As reported by People magazine, Brin has requested that Nicole Shanahan not be granted spousal support from him.
Considering Brin’s enormous $93 billion fortune, a divorce involving him may be as costly as those of Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and Elon Musk. The couple’s assets will be shared in the divorce.
