Prince William and Duchess Kate Release Their First Official Portrait of One Another.
We’ve reached a significant turning point! On Thursday, June 23, Prince William and Duchess Kate visited the Fitzwilliam Museum at the University of Cambridge to see their first official photograph together.
The pair traveled to Cambridgeshire to view the artwork when it was shown to the general public for the first time. In 2021, the Cambridgeshire Royal Portrait Fund commissioned Jamie Coreth to produce a work of art. The Vampire’s Wife outfit worn by Kate, 40, in March on a trip to Dublin is shown in the picture. William, 40, wears a blue tie and a suit to join his wife in the artwork.
Painting this artwork has been the most incredible honor of my life. I tried to portray Their Royal Highnesses in a way that was both accessible yet elegant and respectful,” the artist said, according to BBC.
Aside from being the first photograph of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge together, I wanted the image to convey a sense of balance between their public and private lives,” Coreth said. As a present for the people of Cambridgeshire, the work was commissioned, and I hope they appreciate it as much as I have.
The photographer felt that photographing the couple in their own environment enhanced the whole experience. They made me feel comfortable in their house since it was theirs.” When I left, I felt like we had known one other for a long time. “It was really a crazy day,” he told Us Magazine.
On the surface, the day was exactly like any other shoot. A visit to someone else’s house was exactly the same. I mean, it’s not the same as going to someone else’s home, but it was still the same experience. Just a little bit more luxurious than the average home,” he says.
