When Evan Rachel Wood performs as Madonna and Janis Joplin on the Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon and the audience go wild.
Evan Rachel Wood, who portrays Madonna in a forthcoming “Weird Al” Yankovic biopic, is proving to her fans that she can sing like Madonna, even if she doesn’t utilize it in the movie.
During Thursday night’s episode of “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” the “Westworld” actor spoke about his upcoming role as Al Yankovic on the Roku Channel’s “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.” Although Wood had to wear the Madonna costume in the film, director Eric Appel afterward expressed his disappointment that he didn’t get to perform as her.
“When I sang Madonna at our wrap party, the director exclaimed, “Why didn’t I have you sing in this movie? ” Wood said
So, Fallon gave her a microphone to demonstrate her talents, and what she said took his breath away.
“Material Girl” and “You Oughta Know” by Alanis Morissette and “Piece of My Heart” by Janis Joplin by Janis Joplin were just two of the songs Wood sang flawlessly.”
Wood said that she was taken aback by the invitation to portray the legendary singer.

Wood jokingly said, “You’re not expecting that on a Tuesday. “Then I was like, ‘oh my goodness, am I really up for this?'”” I feel like this is a lot of work.’ However, it’s a comedy. Unlike a Madonna biography, it’s not.”
Wood stated that portraying Madonna in a prominent role would be “far too much pressure.” she said that she was apprehensive to see how Madonna would respond since Wood’s impending depiction had not yet been mentioned.
Wood also said that she will play a completely new character in Season 4 of the Emmy-winning series “Westworld.” Chris Wood will portray Christina, a geeky writer and video game programmer who is “far more human” than Dolores Abernathy.

HBO Max will air the next season of “Westworld” on June 26. “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” has yet to get a release date.
