Chris and Tim Affleck welcomed Benjamin Géza Affleck-Boldt into the world in Berkeley, California on August 15, 1972. Ben’s father was an aspiring playwright who earned a livelihood doing a number of jobs, including bookie, carpenter, electrician, and janitor. Ben’s mother was a schoolteacher.
