Change Gears to a Photo-Sharing Program
Upon Krieger’s arrival, the two reevaluated Burbn’s priorities and settled on a singular path: pictures captured with mobile phones. They looked at the best photography apps available at that time in great detail.
The Hipstamatic app caught the attention of Krieger and Systrom because of its widespread use and the fun effects you could add to your photos with it. However, it lacked any sort of social media sharing capabilities, which is why Systrom and Krieger thought it would be a good idea to create an app that linked Hipstamatic to other networks like Facebook.
