The “Love Is Blind” Couple, played by Kyle Abrams and Deepti Vempati, has broken Up.
After the Altar episodes aired on Netflix on Friday, fans learned that the couple had formed a deep relationship in the pods, despite the fact that they didn’t appear to get together in season two of the show. After hesitating tentatively so as not to jeopardize their friendship, the two began dating.
Abrams, however, has now announced on Instagram that the couple has broken up.
After breaking up with her, he moved on to another woman and wrote: “I know a lot of you are interested in my relationship with Deepti right now. In the early months of summer, after filming After the Altar, we had already resolved to proceed in different directions.”
The relationship between Abrams and Vempati isn’t the only one that didn’t work out in the pod squad. Couples Jarrette Jones and Iyanna McNeely and Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson have also split up.
The One Love Is Blind Divorce Kyle Abrams ‘Didn’t Expect’ — and Which He Did?
The cast of Love Is Blind Season 2 was shaken up by the show’s many divorces.
Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones’ breakup was reported last month, and then Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson’s news came out. Both sets of newlyweds had been married for less than a year, and their fairytale romances had been a hit on Netflix just months before.
In anticipation of the third and final episode of Love Is Blind on Friday: Afterwards, Altar co-star Kyle Abrams told PEOPLE, “One of them, I could see, was a hard road, but the other one I didn’t see coming.”
“In my opinion, both Jarrette and Iyanna were quite powerful. Actually, that caught me off guard. The speed with which it occurred surprised me “Kyle, now 30, acknowledges. “The nature of their connection is unknown to me. They made a wonderful pair, it appeared.”
As a result of the two divorces, “the males and the girls have essentially split down the middle,” as Kyle tells PEOPLE.
I think after the divorce, everybody had to pick a side,” he says. “When I observe the female population engaging in nocturnal activities, my initial reaction is neutrality toward the male gender. A couple who weren’t on the show and I hang together a lot. I keep in touch with them even now. But I do believe it has declined. My thoughts tend to wander more freely among the males than among the females.”
