In Queens, New York, on December 21, 1957, Raymond Albert Romano was born. He grew raised with two brothers in an Italian-American home. Later, many of his skits and stand-up comedy routines were found to be inspired by his family life.

Personal Life
Outside of performing, Ray Romano enjoys playing poker and has participated in the World Series of Poker multiple times. A dedicated golfer, he and Steve Bowditch tied for sixth place in the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in 2012.
While employed at a bank, Romano met his future wife, and the two were wed in 1987. Together, they are the parents of four kids. Romano said that his wife had successfully recovered from breast cancer in 2012.
Real estate: Ray has owned a luxurious 10,000-square-foot mansion on 1.25 acres in Encino, California, since the late 1990s. Based on recent sales, the mansion is currently probably valued north of $10 million.
Given that it was close to the studio, he made this his primary house while his show was being filmed. He spent $8.5 million buying a beachfront house on Malibu’s ultra-exclusive Broad Beach in 2004. Today, this house is easily worth more than $25 million.
