More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers (, Ffu Ij, Koibito Miman, or Fuukoi for short) is a manga series written by Yki Kanamaru. Since March 2018, it has been published in Kadokawa Shoten’s seinen manga magazine Young Ace.
As of October 2022, the chapters have been collected into nine tankbon volumes. Studio Mother made an anime version of the show that aired from October to December 2022.
When will Season 2 of “More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers” come out?

Here’s what we know so far about the second episode of the show. Studio MOTHER or KlockWorx hasn’t said anything official about the show’s future, so the anime hasn’t been renewed as of yet.
Most of the time, a show’s renewal depends on how much source material is available, how popular it is, and how well it does financially in other countries. Fans of the show “More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers” will be happy to hear that there is already more than enough content to make another season.
The first episode of the romance comedy series is based on up to four volumes of Yuuki Kanamaru’s manga series of the same name, which has already been published in nine Tankoubon volumes.
As of right now, the series has a very good overall rating on MyAnimeList and has gotten good reviews on other sites as well. But the release of the show didn’t make people buy more manga, and during its 12-week run, the anime never made it onto the Oricon Top 20 manga list.
At least the show made it onto Crunchyroll’s Top 20 Summer anime list a few times, which is good. Even though there are a lot of good things about the show, it is worrying that it hasn’t had much of an effect on manga sales.
If the manga gets more popular and the stars align in favor of the show being renewed, season 2 of “More Than a Married Couple, but Not Lovers” will come out in the third or fourth quarter of 2024.

“More than Just a Married Couple, but Not Lovers” Part Two What Could It Be About?
In season 2, Akari will take some time to think about herself over the summer break and finally figure out how she feels about Jirou. The couple has done well, but now they have to make a hard decision about whether or not to switch pairs. Akari and Jirou’s relationship has been mostly easy, so it might be hard for them to decide if they should end their marriage.
But even though they have problems, the two will still respect each other and spend quality time together.
Shiori will also get help from Akari when she has problems. Jirou’s first love was Shiori, and he’s always wanted to be paired with her. But when he finally gets that chance through the pair exchange, Jirou will feel conflicted about what to do.
In an interesting twist, the next episode will also have a sports festival arc, so fans have a lot to look forward to.
