Under the Banner of Heaven by FX on Hulu depicts the actual events surrounding the murder of Brenda Wright Lafferty (Daisy Edgar-Jones) and her 15-month-old daughter Erica in American Fork, Utah, by brothers Ron and Dan Lafferty (Sam Worthington and Wyatt Russell, respectively).
The final episode, “Blood Atonement,” which aired on June 2, marked the end of the series. In the climactic scene, Gil Birmingham’s Detective Bill Taba and Andrew Garfield’s Detective Jeb Pyre track down and apprehend the fugitive brothers in Reno.

What Happened To Allen Lafferty?
Allen Lafferty is based on a real person who was born into a strict religious home to Watson Lafferty Sr. and Claudine Lafferty. While Brenda was a broadcast journalism student at Brigham Young University, Allen first met her, and the two fell in love. Allen wed Brenda on April 22, 1982, and their daughter Erica was born on April 28, 1983, or almost precisely one year later.
Brenda did not get along well with Allen’s brothers, Ron and Dan, to the extent that she prevented Allen from enrolling in the School of the Prophets with his brothers. ENews claims that on July 24, 1984, Allen departed for work and returned home to discover the remains of his wife and daughter.
Later it was discovered that Ron had slain Brenda and Dan had killed Erica under the pretense that God had instructed them to do it. What happened to Allen Lafferty has piqued the interest of many fans. He is still alive and is 64 years old right now. Lafferty found a new spouse and began a family after Brenda and Erica passed away.

Where Is Allen Lafferty Today?
After Brenda and Erica passed away, Allen Lafferty (supposedly) started a new family with his new girlfriend. His most recent spouse, Heidi M.
Lafferty, is his wife. On Heidi’s YouTube channel, they also made an appearance to discuss the Temple Open House video. Allen’s mother-in-law LaRae revealed to Deseret News in 1991 that he had remarried and she had lost contact with him around 1987.
He has been married three times since he wed Heidi Lafferty in 2016.
On his second wife, little is known. Since 2015, the couple has settled in Saratoga Springs, Utah. In 2015, Allen was last observed in Los Angeles, where it was assumed that he was employed by a Hollywood production company.
