Meet the Cast of Hbo's Adaptation of The Video Game the Last of US.

The Last of Us by Naughty Dog features Joel Miller as a fictional character. Pedro Pascal plays him in the television adaption, while Troy Baker portrays him in video games through motion capture and voice acting. Joel, the main character in the first game, The Last of Us (2013), is entrusted with guiding the young Ellie across the post-apocalyptic United States in order to find a viable treatment for a virus to which Ellie is immune.

He also makes a brief appearance in The Last of Us: Left Behind campaign’s downloadable content (2014). In The Last of Us Part II (2020), Joel is murdered by Abby, whose father Joel murdered in the original game, driving Ellie to get revenge.

Meet the Video Game Actors from HBO

Pedro Pascal is Joel Miller

Joel Miller is a tough survivor who has to take Ellie across the country to the Fireflies, a group of rebels who are looking for a cure for Cordyceps and fighting against FEDRA. Along the way, he becomes like a father to Ellie, which forces him to make peace with his traumatic past and the daughter he lost years ago.

Ellie Williams is 14 years old. She was born in a world after the end of the world. When she finds out that she can’t get the Cordyceps infection that has killed so many people, she decides to help the Fireflies find a cure. Tess Servopoulos is played by Anna Torv

Tess is Joel’s partner in smuggling in Boston, but their friendship is much more than that. Their relationship isn’t made clear in the game, but they’re always there for each other, which in this world might as well be a declaration of love. Anna Torv plays Tess. She is best known for her parts in Fringe and Mindhunter.

Tommy Miller is Gabriel Luna.

In the game, Tommy, Joel’s brother, was with him when the outbreak started in Texas. Even though it seems like they got out together, they have to go their separate ways for a while because of something that happens 20 years later.

Since Tommy used to be a Firefly, he knows things that help Joel and Ellie on their journey and force the brothers to finally get back together. Gabriel Luna plays Tommy. You may know him from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. or Terminator: Dark Fate.

Merle Dandridge is Marlene

Merle Dandridge plays Marlene, the fierce leader of the Boston Fireflies, just like she did in the video game. Marlene is willing to do whatever it takes to fight for humanity, and she has had to learn how to make sacrifices for the greater good. Merle Dandridge did the voice of Marlene in the video game The Last of Us. She has also been in the movies Station 19 and The Flight Attendant.

Bill is Nick Offerman.

Nick Offerman is taking on more serious roles, and in The Last of Us, he plays Bill. Bill is a survivalist in the games, and Joel and Ellie go to him when they need help getting across the country. When they find him, he lives alone and seems to like it that way.

He sets traps with explosives for anyone who dares to come through his town. Offerman has been working for a long time. He has been in many TV shows, such as Parks and Recreation, Devs, and A League of Their Own.

Frank Murray Bartlett

Frank is Bill’s partner in the game, but we only find out about him after he quit Bill’s strict survivalist ways. Frank, on the other hand, seems like he’ll be a more important character in the series, and we’ll get to see some of his relationship with Bill before it went bad. Murray Bartlett plays Frank. He has been in movies like The White Lotus and Welcome to Chippendales in the past few years.

Storm Reid is Riley Abel

Riley Abel and Ellie are friends, but the DLC for The Last of Us Part I, called “Left Behind,” shows that their relationship goes deeper than that. Riley is also a young orphan from Boston who grew up in this world after the end of the world.

Riley joins the Fireflies because she wants to get away, but she doesn’t know that she will have to leave Ellie behind. Storm Reid plays Riley, and even though she is young, she has already been in a lot of movies. You may know the actress from her roles in Euphoria, The Suicide Squad, A Wrinkle in Time, and The Invisible Man.

Nico Parker is Sarah Miller

At the start of the outbreak, Joel’s 14-year-old daughter Sarah Miller lives with him in Texas. I won’t give away her story for people who haven’t played the game yet, but I will say that her arc in the series will make you want to cry. Nico Parker plays Sarah. She has been in movies like “Dumbo” and “Reminiscence.”

Melanie Lynsky The Final of Us

Melanie Lynskey is Kathleen is a new character who has never been in the games before. We don’t know much about her or what role she plays in Joel and Ellie’s journey, but we do know that she is the “ruthless leader of a Kansas City revolutionary movement.” Melanie Lynskey plays Kathleen. She was recently praised for her role in Yellowjackets, and she also starred in I Don’t Feel at Home in this World Anymore with Elijah Wood.

Henry is Lamar Johnson.

Sam’s older brother is Henry, and he looks out for Sam. In the game, Joel and Ellie meet two while running away from murderous scavengers in Pittsburgh. However, HBO says that in the series, they will meet while hiding from a “revolutionary movement seeking revenge” in Kansas City. Lamar Johnson plays Henry. He has been in other movies like The Hate U Give, Your Honor, and All the Bright Places.

Sam is Kevionn Woodard.

Sam is a young boy who is growing up in the same world as Ellie. His only family left is his older brother Henry. Sam is the first major role Kevionn Woodard has played.
